We have a bold new look and a new unified brand voice.
The Y has unveiled a new brand strategy nationwide to increase the understanding of the impact we make in our communities. Through its new brand strategy and framework, the Y will extend its reach into communities and continue to change lives. Our three areas of focus are to nurture the potential of youth and teens, improve our community’s health and well-being and provide opportunities to support neighbors. It’s an exciting time for all of us and soon you will begin seeing a new way in which the Y communicates our message. While still formally known as the YMCA, we will refer to ourselves just as you do, “the Y.” But we remain committed to our heritage as evidenced in our Mission: To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
We’re reminding people that our fitness classes don’t just improve physical health, they help unleash a new outlook on life. We don’t just bring families together, we help families stay together. Youth sports programs don’t just teach kids to score goals, they teach character values and social skills for future leaders. This is what the Y of Broward County has offered for generations and this is what the new Y brand communicates loud and clear. With a presence throughout Broward County, in a variety of locations, the Y works every day to ensure everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Parents desire a safe environment where children can learn practical and social skills and develop positive values. Adults want to learn more, give back to others and experience greater health and
well-being.
Though the world may be unpredictable, one thing remains certain. The Y is and always will be dedicated to building
healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities.
Sincerely,
Sheryl A. Woods
