PRESCHOOL

Home Away from Home

At the Y preschool, we carefully design every activity to expand a child’s imagination and encourage lifelong positive values in a safe, caring learning classroom. All programs provide children with high-quality, fun-filled experiences where the Y staff shares the character values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Our pre-K program emphasizes learning through play. Our unique integrated curriculum allows children to explore and experience all aspects of reading, writing, science, music, art, and dramatic play in a flexible, kindergarten-like setting making a transition to Kindergarten smooth one.

We offer preschool for 3 years old and VPK wrap around for 4 and 5 year olds.

CHILD WATCH 

A place where kids count

• Expanded and renovated area for fun, physical activity and safe place for kids.
• ChildwatchChildcare is available for children 6 weeks to 7 years of age.
• Childcare is available as a complimentary service to members with a Family/Single Parent Family Membership.
• Childcare is available up to 2 hours each visit.
• Parent must be on the premises at all times when child is in Child Watch.
• Childcare has limited capacity and is on first-come, first-served basis.
• Snacks are not allowed.
• Outside play & fitness offered from 5:30 - 6:00 pm. Mon.,Tues, Wed, Thurs. Weather permitting

Monday - Friday 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 3:30p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

THE SPOT!

The place to be! A supervised room for members ages 8 - 12 years old. Activities include: Dance Dance Revolution, art, swimming, Y Fit Kids classes, Wii and Ping Pong. Located next door to the Child Watch.

Mon. - Fri 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm, opens at 8:15 am on Broward County School Holidays
Saturday 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Y BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Come celebrate your big day at the YMCA! All parties are 2 hours in length and include at least one party host. Activities, games, and equipment are supplied by the YMCA, you just bring the cake, decorations, and kids!

COST:
$180 up to 12 children Y Members
$250 up to 12 children Non-Member
$250 up to 20 children Members
$350 up to 20 children Non-Member
$50 reservation deposit must be paid in advance

PARENTS NIGHT OUT

Parents leave your kids at the YMCA tonight while you enjoy a night out. Go to dinner, see a movie or just spend a quiet night at home. Kids age 6 weeks - 4 years old will hang out in the Child Watch area for games, stories and crafts. Kids age 5+ will spend the evening with Adventure Camp Staff for games, swimming and fun. Space is limited, so register early. *Parents must provide all food for children ages 6 weeks - 4 years. Pre-registration is required.
