Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much does a membership cost?
A: Membership rates can be found in the membership rates section of the prospective Family Center nearest you. Please call to schedule a tour.
Q: Do you offer reduced rates?
A: Membership financial assistance is available through our Scholarship Assistance Program. We base our membership assistance on household income and distribute our resources according to need. Our information is confidential so please see our member services representative at your nearest YMCA.
Q: Can I pay cash instead of automatic debit?
A: Yes, we accept cash payment in advance for a 12-month period. To pay your membership dues monthly, we automatically debit from a bank account or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
Q: How do I become a member?
A: Visit any YMCA location to join. You will need to complete a membership application( you can download from the membership drop down) and have payment for your joining fee and initial dues. To establish a monthly draft, you will also need a voided check or credit card.
Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A: Memberships must be cancelled by giving written notification to the YMCA where your membership was purchased. Cancellation requires members to pay in full all unpaid dues and other charges owed to the YMCA. Such cancellation shall not be deemed effective until after all required payments have been made to the YMCA. Once cancellation has been deemed effective, members will be billed one final month of dues at the prevailing active rate. You will remain liable for payment until all required payments have been made to the YMCA. Annual prepaid memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Q: Can I visit other YMCAs?
A: Yes. Many YMCAs across the country participate in the AWAY program which allows members from other YMCAs to visit. You should call a location prior to visiting for specific guest policies.
Q: Can I bring guests?
